FAQ's

Where can I find touch up paint or decals?

We do not stock touch-up paint or replacement decals. The paint used on our bikes does not work well in a brush-on application. The best option for touch-up paint is to use enamel-based model paint like Testors or Humbrol brands. There is a very wide array of colors and tones available with these types of paints, and they work very well for this type of application.

Our bikes are clear-coated upon production, eliminating the need for replacement decal sheets. If you choose to repaint your frame or you have an accident that damages the decals, some distributors may be able to provide simple decals, but we cannot provide original model-specific frame decals.

How can I get a donation?

Thanks for considering us. Unfortunately, due to the huge number of requests for donations that we receive, there is only a very small percentage that we’re able to help with. If you’d like to submit your proposal for consideration, please send the request (on your organisation’s letterhead if possible) to office@chargebikes.com.

What headset does my Charge Freezer or Skewer take?

The top sealed bearing for the headset measures 41.2mm across and the recess is 3mm deep. The lower also measures 41.2mm but the recess is 7mm deep. Bearing seats are 45º. The ‘standard’ replacement headset for these frames is an FSA IS41

Those little black brake hose clips on my frame keep coming off, where do I find replacements?

These are available from most bike shops and come as standard on most bikes.
Alternatively, you can simply use zip-ties instead.

Where can I buy spares for my Charge Bike?

Unfortunately we do not hold spares or supply direct. If it’s a Charge specific part, please contact your local Charge dealer. If you have broken a part and it’s out of warranty, there are normally plenty of alternatives to replace them. Please visit your friendly local cycle store to see if they can help you out. Some of our distributors do hold items such as mudguards. You can find your nearest one here: www.chargebikes.com/intdistributors/ Please note: we do not provide OE (Original Equipment) parts aftermarket.

How do I validate the warranty for my new bicycle?

Please log on to: www.chargebikes.com/warranty-registration/ and fill out the required information. This will activate your warranty.

Where will I find my serial number for the bike?

The serial number is engraved under the bottom bracket. The paint may be thick but will still be visible. Please take a note of this to enable you to validate your limited warranty.
