After making the ‘This Is My London’ video with Beefeater Gin, I had the opportunity to show my friends from Met around Torbay. Wearing an obscene amount of layers in what was a brutally cold, starry night, we filmed a video of me riding the Charge Plug Prestige from city to beach, lit up by the aptly named Knog ‘Bilnder’ lights.

A few weeks ago I had to opportunity to showcase my life in London for this video for Beafeater Gin. Not only did I get to ride a lovely titanium Charge Plug, I also got to stroke a lot of cats, go to my favourite bookshops and also my favourite bike shop, Tokyo Fixed.  I also got to dress up in a ridiculous skirt, which secretly, I ended up kind of liking; not the most practical attire but had it’s charm.

The video gives you a little bit of an idea about all the stuff I get up to, and I think it came out pretty well, all apart from the embarrassing closing shot where I turn to the camera and say ‘I’m Juliet Elliott and this is my London.’ It was really hard not to keep giggling at that point. Also I look really cold and knackered… which was probably due to the 4.30am start!

Whilst the lovely people at Charge Bikes have been busy updating and polishing their website, I’ve written a couple of posts for my other blog, so if you’d like to see what I’ve been doing, please have a look. But now that the Charge site is looking bang up to date, I can post for you here again too.

So first up, I’d like to announce my new sponsor, Met Helmets. I now have a cupboard full of the most stylish head protection courtesy of these guys, so there’s no excuse for not taking care of the old loaf.

As myself and the guys at Met were eager to showcase their new line, we decided to hook up in Devon and film a few videos. The first one was a night shoot, so I loaded up the Plug Prestige with the brightest of Knog lights and started bombing around in total darkness behind the hire car. The inky blackness of the Devon countryside and the lamp filmer, Gian Luca had rigged up to shine in my eyes meant that I really, truly couldn’t see where I was going. Good job I had a helmet on!

The next day we rose early and headed out into the chilly morning air whilst it was still dark. The aim was to capture the sun rising, but it was very hard to see it through the thick layers of heavy clouds.

After a bacon roll, we did some follow cam stuff then rigged up the bike for an extreme close up/up the nose shot around Teingmouth. Luckily for us, the sun was by now shining and it was a pleasure to show Gian Luca and Jean Pierre around such a nice part of the world. Having said that, Gian Luca is from Sicily so I think we should definitely shoot there next time!
