I always feel a bit silly admitting I have two blogs, and sometimes I don’t know what to post on what site. Well, I’ll let you into a secret, I carried on my own blog in case Charge ditched me and I lost all my posts when my team rider blog was deleted! Paranoid or what?! They still might, but no time soon I think as they’ve just sent me a new bike to play on, heehee!
Anyway, there’s a post over on my other blog about my trip to London, but THIS post is about my new Charge Filter Apex!
The Filter is absolutely perfect for me, I like getting some miles in but I love razzing around offroad and my bikes tend to take a real beating. This XC bike can handle the stuff a road bike couldn’t plus if I want to, I can just stick some slick tyres on and it performs superbly on the road.

For now, I’m sticking with the knobbly tyres, which along with the disc brakes are just the ticket for the wet, muddy, bumpy rides I’ve been treating my dog to. Since the little rascal chewed up the kitchen lino, we’ve both been getting more exercise in an attempt to wear her out and keep me sane. It seems to be working so far!

So seeing as I’m now the proud owner of a cyclocross bike, I’ve entered a race – the Rapha Supercross at Alexandra Palace, and no, I’ve not entered the novice race, I’m going for it against the die hard cyclocross riders. So enough typing, I’d better get some practice in!
