I’ve recently decided to embrace the hills of Devon rather than shy away from them. So I’ve signed up to cycling app, Strava which maps your rides and allows you to enter challenges. I managed to win a cup without even realising it, but now I’ve done that, I’m hungry for more. I’m tearing through my tyres at a rate of knots skidding down all the hills though!

I also popped along to Red Bull weavers where I tried my hardest to beat the boys at racing a slalom through a cornfield. Unfortunately, I’d underestimated just how fast those downhill racers are, so I didn’t take home a shiny new bike as a prize. It was a great, cider filled day once I’d been knocked out of the race though. And I saw that wierd, shiny, warm globe up in the sky!

I also went up to Haldon to ride MTB but fell off less than one minute from the top and had to go to a and e and have my elbow patched up. It was so annoying! I wouldn’t have minded if I’d have got a ride in first. Unfortunately my piece of junk car has irreperably broken down so I won’t be doing anymore mountain biking until I get a replacement. Unless I find some trails near my house.
But one thing that IS near my house is Pro Cycle Centre. I went for my first session the other day rode the indoor ramps on my BMX. It RULES! I highly recommend a visit and can’t wait to go back.
